Anthony Davis Describes LeBron As ‘Big Ol’Kid…’

Anthony Davis arrived at the right time in Los Angeles. The Lakers front office tried really hard to get him, but the New Orleans Pelicans wouldn’t give up on him that easily. The team had to send a bunch of young players to New Orleans to get the superstar. Davis is here now, and he has built incredible chemistry with LeBron James.

Most analysts would agree that Davis and LeBron make the perfect duo in the league. Both LeBron and Davis wanted to play together. They have won 41 games together, and the best is yet to come. Yes, the effort sure paid off. Davis talked to Joe Vardon and Jason Lloyd of The Athletic and touched several topics, including his relationship with LeBron.

“He’s just a big ol’ kid,” he said. “You wouldn’t know it unless you’re his teammate or you’re around him a lot, but he’s a big kid. He’s high on life, loves life, lives his life to the fullest. I get to see that every day. Win, lose or draw, he’s got a smile on his face — maybe a little bit after the loss — but he’s got a smile on his face. He’s just happy to still be able to do what he’s doing at a high level and be around his team and support his son.”

Davis and LeBron make the best duo

Davis heard all the rumors about LeBron being a tough teammate. Yes, he busted them all. Davis has spent a few months with LeBron, and he hasn’t seen any of this negativity. LeBron enjoys the game, and Davis noticed that. Being his teammate isn’t tough at all. Davis enjoys LeBron’s team dinners, and they have a really great time together. It’s all about laugh and fun.

“His son is going through a lot, he’s going through a lot, has a lot going on. (LeBron) just enjoys it all. He’s never upset; he’s never angry at anyone. … Obviously, you hear people say, “Oh, it’s tough being his teammate,” or stuff like that. And like I said, I was never his teammate. All-Star games are different. USA teams are different. But to be his teammate for the number of games that we’ve been so far, I haven’t seen any of those things. He’s always setting up team dinners. He’s about the team, and he’s always making us laugh.”

Davis and LeBron have the perfect chemistry on the floor. They lead the team in the best way possible. These two make the best duo, and they are definitely much better than other duos in the NBA. On one occasion, media members asked Davis about the greatest player on the Lakers roster. He said, “LeBron.” Of course, Davis even joked about him being on the top.
