Analyst Predicts Patriots Will Trade For 3-Time Pro Bowl WR

This is one of the most important offseasons for the New England Patriots, and they have a few issues to solve. First, they need to seal a deal with quarterback Tom Brady. Adding depth to the receiving unit is a priority No. 2. for the team. It looks like the Patriots have their eyes set on a three-time Pro Bowl wideout. That’s what Greg A. Bedard of The Boston Sports Journal said.

According to Bedard, New England will try to trade for Cleveland Browns’ Odell Beckham Jr. They will give up a first-round draft pick to get the talented wide receiver. Bedard is convinced that Beckham has more chances of becoming a Patriot than Stefon Diggs.

“I’d like Stefon Diggs more for the salary but the Browns are much more likely to deal Beckham with their Moneyball approach. No, I don’t like the diva attitude, but for Brady, he’ll keep it in check for a while like Randy Moss and then can be easily cut when (not if) he becomes a problem. Will cost the first-round pick.”

The Browns wideout came off of his worst statistical season. He was able to catch just 74 passes for 1,035 yards and four touchdowns in his first season in Cleveland. These numbers are career-lows for Beckham. We didn’t put the 2017 season in the mix as it was a season plagued with injuries for the wideout.

The three-time Pro Bowl wideout has much respect for the Patriots

Numerous reports suggest that Diggs is making his way out of Cleveland. He added fuel to the speculation last month. The wideout literally refused to commit to Cleveland.

“No one knows what the future holds tomorrow. I couldn’t tell you what’s going to happen,” he said in December. “I couldn’t tell you. My locker is right next to one of the people that mean the most to me in the world (Jarvis Landry). I think about coming to work and seeing him every single day and how special this could be, so I couldn’t sit here and tell you whether I’m going to be here, want to be here, don’t want to be here. This is exactly where I’m at right now, and I wouldn’t rather be anywhere else. God has a plan. In the offseason, everything will figure itself out.”

Beckham had words of praise for Tom Brady, Bill Belichick and the Patriots in general. This is more than enough for fans to start talking about his next move. Is he going to New England?

Beckham talked about TB12 and Belichick prior to his team’s regular-season game against the Pats this past season.

The wideout said he has a love-hate relationship with Brady because he has defeated every team he ever wanted to win a title. Of course, Beckham rooted for Brady because he was impressed by his success, but he just wanted someone to take the Patriots.

Beckham has a lot of respect for Belichick. The Patriots head coach says the same thing every time they meet. “I hope you enjoy today because there’s not going to be much for you.” Hilarious!
