Gianna Bryant’s School In California Pays Heart-melting Tribute To Her

Kobe Bryant was traveling with his daughter Gianna and seven others when their plane crashed in the hillside in Calabasas, California. Gianna was just 13, and she didn’t even get the opportunity to chase her big dreams in the basketball world. The Harbor Day School retired the girl’s No. 2 jersey. The school unveiled a jersey that read “Gianna,” and confirmed that it will be hung in their gym in a tribute for the girl.

Gianna’s mom, Vanessa, shared photos and videos of the ceremony on her Instagram. She delivered an emotional message on a post featuring her daughter’s jersey.

“My Gigi. I love you! I miss you. You’ve taught us all that no act of kindness is ever too small,” Bryant wrote. “Mommy is still and will ALWAYS be so proud of you mamacita.”

The past two weeks were a real nightmare for every NBA fan. Players, coaches, fans, friends and family members paid tribute to Kobe and his daughter. There were hundreds of thousands of messages outside of the Staples Center. LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and a few others got tattoos to remember the Black Mamba and his girl.

A tribute for Gianna and her No. 2 jersey

The NBA will pay a big tribute during the All-Star weekend in Chicago at the end of this month. Team Giannis will wear Kobe’s No. 24 jerseys and Team LeBron will have No. 2 jerseys in honor of his daughter.

Gianna spent a short time on the basketball court, but her presence was felt. The girl had a really good chance to become a basketball star. It was more than obvious that she was ready to follow her father’s footsteps. Kobe was one of the best players to play the game.

He will be remembered as one of the brightest stars in the NBA. For many fans, he was the greatest of all times. Yes, Kobe’s name was often mentioned in the GOAT debate. He didn’t really pay attention to that. He liked the game and retired when it felt appropriate.

Vanessa and the families of other victims will organize a memorial on Feb. 26. The avalanche of tributes won’t stop in the near future. Kobe was a star, and his life ended too soon.
