John Elway Gives His Take On Tom Brady’s Situation With Patriots

Every NFL fan talks about Tom Brady and his free agency. The Patriots quarterback will become a free agent for the first time in his professional career. While most fans can’t imagine seeing Brady wear a different uniform, there’s still a chance for the GOAT to sign with a different team. Several teams have shown interest in Brady. Of course, teams can’t reach out for Brady until March 16. Brady’s agent will meet the Patriots at the 2020 NFL Combine. Denver Broncos legend John Elway has a theory about Brady and his current situation.

The former quarterback spent 17 seasons with the Broncos before calling it career. In other words, he sure knows a thing or two about spending an entire career with one team. Brady has spent two decades winning games with head coach Bill Belichick and the Patriots. Is there any chance for Brady to leave his second home?

John Elway has a theory

Elway is the Broncos’ general manager. When asked about Brady and his situation, Elway said he hopes to see Brady back with the Patriots.

“Thinking just from my point of view I hope not,” he said. “That’s up to Tom. When you think of Tom, Tom’s always going to be a New England Patriot.”

He put it nicely. Brady will always be remembered as the Patriots quarterback who defeated every NFL team in his career. Brady led one of the greatest teams in NFL history. Without him, the Patriots will find themselves at the bottom of every ranking. Brady makes them the best team in the league.

It’s interesting to note that the Pats haven’t found a replacement for their star-quarterback yet. Jarrett Stidham lacks experience. Yes, the Patriots may go after someone during the NFL combine but truth is, no one can replace the GOAT.

Head coach Bill Belichick gave Brady a chance to prove himself. Brady used this chance really well and took the leading position in the team. But, Belichick didn’t give him a two-year deal last year. Will he change his mind and give Brady a better deal this time? Let’s wait and find out.
