Report: Tom Brady Wants Two-Year Commitment From Patriots

The New England Patriots are about to reach an agreement with star quarterback Tom Brady. TB12 will hit the open market on March 18, and the Patriots don’t want to lose him at this point. Brady has spent his entire career with the Patriots, and he really likes the organization. During his time with the Pats, Brady has won six Lombardi Trophies and made a few more Super Bowls appearances. Last season wasn’t his best one, but it wasn’t Brady’s fault. The Patriots had a few problems with the offense. They had problems with their receivers and tight ends.

When it comes to Brady’s contract with the team, the situation is a bit tricky. It was never about money. Brady received less money than many quarterbacks in the NFL. He wanted to give the team enough room to sign talented players. According to some reports, Brady was frustrated with the offer New England gave him last summer. He was worried about the duration. That’s why he will look for a two-year contract this offseason.

Brady has so much to offer, and there’s no drop in his performance. He plays elite football, and we have every right to say that he can play a few more years. His body coach, business partner and good friend, Alex Guerrero, believes that Brady will play until 47. On one occasion, Brady said he’s ready to play until 45. Of course, he has to stay healthy to play until that age.

Tom Brady may have a request for the Patriots

Jeff Howe of The Athletic discussed Brady’s pending free agency. He reported that Brady won’t go after a $35 million salary. However, the GOAT wanted guaranteed money for 2020 last offseason when he restructured his contract with the Patriots. He will probably go for the same this offseason.

TB12 will probably ask for a two-year contract that includes guaranteed money for 2021.

Head coach Bill Belichick didn’t give Brady a two-year deal a year ago. Will he change his mind? 2019 wasn’t Brady’s best season. He was injured. Belichick can be really tough when it comes to cutting players. Let’s hope that Brady won’t sign with a different team.
