Patriots’ Plan To Convince Tom Brady To Stay In New England

Is there any chance for quarterback Tom Brady to leave the New England Patriots and sign with another team? Brady will turn 43 in August. Yes, he defies Father Time in the most brilliant way, but it would be hard for everyone to imagine him wear a different uniform.

Brady will enter free agency for the first time in his professional career. The new league year opens March 18, and the legal tampering period will begin two days prior. We don’t know if Brady is interested in re-signing with the Patriots. But, we also don’t know if he is interested in signing a deal with another team.

Tom Curran from NBC Sports Boston said Brady hasn’t closed the door for a return. He is also convinced that the Patriots have a plan to make Brady stay in New England.

“When I asked a source whether Brady had washed his hands of the Patriots, I was told, “Of course not. There’s an attachment there. You can’t be someplace for 20 years and not have an attachment. That’s just not who he is.

“Brady, I was told, will listen closely to what the Patriots have to say.

“What will the Patriots say? That this is the best place for him. That there are innumerable things in place here that – if he goes to another city, another franchise, another facility, another coaching staff – he just won’t have.

“Wherever he goes, there won’t be one guy who knows what he wants done and how he wants it done,” said an NFL source. “Is he going to coach the receivers coach on how to coach the receivers? Or coach the offensive coordinator? There’s a million things.”

Tom Brady to stay in New England

The current CBA negotiations are cited as a reason for this. Brady and the Patriots won’t be able to reach an agreement before the establishment of the new rules.

An NFL insider believes that the Patriots will try to convince everyone that they are out of running for TB12 in their own distinctive way. If this is true, we should wait for some signals in the next couple of weeks.

This is a rather long offseason for New England, and Brady is the top priority of the team at the moment. Offering him a good deal is of utmost importance at the moment. Will head coach Bill Belichick find a way to keep Brady on the roster? Is he even interested in Brady’s return?
