Right after the announcement of his departure, the Patriots honored the signal-caller. They did it through an electric billboard outside Gillette Stadium in Foxboro. This is one of just 12 in New England. The information was confirmed by several sources, including ESPN’s Mike Reiss.

“Thank you Tom, the greatest of all time! With love, the Kraft family and the New England Patriots,” the billboard read.

Patriots owner Robert Kraft shared his side of the story right after Brady’s announcement. According to him, if Brady really wanted to stay with the team, they would have worked out a deal. However, there’s a question as to how believable this is. Chris Long is definitely not buying the logic.

Brady will join the Bucs, and the Kraft honored him with a nice tribute. Recent reports suggest that Brady is trying to finalize his new contract. The process is held up due to unforeseen circumstances this offseason.

Schefter said the contract language is “more challenging this offseason than any time in recent memory.” The NFL restrictions on team physicals and the coronavirus outbreak make things even harder. ProFootballTalk’s Mike Florio relied his report on this claim.

The NFL has temporarily barred teams from conducting physicals with free agents or players signed through a trade. Physicals are conducted by a non-team affiliated doctor in the players’ home city.

New England lost a leader. Brady lost his second home. But, it’s time for a big change, and both sides will work out a deal with new parties. Things will be a little messy for the Patriots. They will have to try hard to replace the GOAT.
