Watch: Lakers’ Danny Green Believes We’ll Get Basketball Back Very Soon

The NBA shut down every facility in the country after Rudy Gobert tested positive. The regular season was suspended and players were forced to stay home. LeBron James and other players were self-isolated for two weeks. The results showed that fifteen players have the virus, but they are all asymptomatic. So, when will the season resume? Los Angeles Lakers guard Danny Green is optimistic about the upcoming basketball games. Many NBA fans will love his point of view. I mean, we crave entertainment more than ever. Being stuck in the middle of a pandemic is a terrible thing, and fans need to watch some real basketball. Basketball players are ready to hit the floor again. They were forced to stay home in the middle of a season.

The Lakers guard asserted that the league will “for sure have a season” and believes that the season will start in the middle of May.

Danny Green may be right about basketball

This is nothing but speculation at this point. We don’t know how will things end. The situation doesn’t look good at all, and our country has been hit by the virus really badly. But, Green’s optimism gives us hope. Maybe authorities will find a way to put the crisis under control and reduce the number of people infected with the coronavirus.

NBA authorities may resume the season, and they have a few options to take into consideration at this point. Some say the NBA will play games in Las Vegas. Others say the NBA will start the playoffs immediately. Sadly, there’s still a possibility for the NBA to cancel the remainder of the season. If the situation doesn’t improve in the next few weeks, the NBA may shut down every basketball-related event.

Green believes that this isn’t the end of the regular season. The MLB considers playing games in Arizona, and this may be a good idea for the Lakers.

Basketball games will only come back when there’s no risk for another pandemic. Players and fans have to stay healthy and safe. COVID-19 has taken too many lives lately. Let’s stop it before it’s too late. Stay home and wash your hands!
