Lakers’ LeBron Reacts To The Possibility Of The NBA Resuming Season In Las Vegas

The NBA suspended the 2019-20 season due to the coronavirus outbreak. First, they planned to schedule games in empty arenas, and LeBron disapproved this plan. But, Rudy Gobert tested positive, and the NBA shut down every facility and canceled every basketball event and contest in the country. Players are forced to stay home, and they don’t even know if the season will resume. There’s speculation that NBA plans to resume the regular season in Las Vegas. Several players have shared their thoughts on this idea, including Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James.

The king of basketball approves this plan because for him, it’s a chance to finish the season. LeBron and his Lakers had an incredible season, and it would be too bad for them to miss the chance to win a title.

LeBron’s take on the NBA and Las Vegas

LeBron shared his thoughts on the new plan, and we already know the names of players who’d agree with him.

“I believe once [the pandemic is] under control and they allow us to resume some type of activity, I would love to get the season back going. I feel like we’re in a position where we can get back and start to compete for a championship, get back to doing what we love to do, making our Laker faithful proud of us, of being back on the floor. And if it’s in one single, isolated destination … if it’s Las Vegas or somewhere else that can hold us and keep us in the best possible chance to be safe – not only on the floor, but also off the floor, as well – then those conversations will be had. Just figuring out a way.”

The coronavirus has taken thousands of lives in the country, and that number grows bigger with every day that goes by. According to initial reports, at least 15 NBA players have the virus. Two Lakers players had positive results, but they haven’t shown any symptoms. For now, the situation in the NBA is under control. Players are waiting for further instructions. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver will probably provide an update in the next few days.
