The Los Angeles Lakers superstar shared his opinion on the NBA legend. He sort of made a prediction regarding West’s performance in today’s world. Let’s just say that he made a good point.

LeBron responded to a throwback post about West’s brilliant performance back then.

“How many points is Jerry West averaging in today’s NBA?” the post read.

Many NBA fan gave their opinion on West. Some said he would average around 25. Many fans said that the basketball game has evolved a lot since his last game. LeBron shared his take on West’s best stars if he was to join the NBA now.

King James had nothing but praise for the 81-year-old. He said that West would probably average around 24 points and 8 assists per game.

“Yes he was! Straight Bucket Getter. Also could pass the hell out of it too. I mean he could play off the ball(c&s) and on the ball(pull ups), get to the basket and make free-throws. I’d say 24-27PPG/8assist,” the basketball star said.

When he brought an end to his career, West averaged 27.0 points, 5.8 rebounds and 6.7 assists. West was also part of the All-Star team during his 14 years in the league.

The legend won the Finals MVP Award in 1969. The Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Boston Celtics. He averaged 37.9 points and 7.4 assists in that particular game. His only big game with the Lakers happened in 1972. LA smashed the New York Knicks back then.

West was also known as Mr. Clutch. He had the ability to remain steadfast and score points under pressure. That’s how he earned the nickname. The legend was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1980. He has been a coach for the Los Angeles Lakers for three years. After his brief coaching career. Mr. Clutch became a scout and then became the team’s GM. The Lakers won six titles during his time as an exec.
