LeBron James Has Specific Rationale for Wanting NBA to Return

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is pretty excited about the NBA return, and he shared a completely different take on the topic.

The NBA is about to resume the season, and there’s a brand new obstacle on their way. Shams Charania from The Athletic reported that Kyrie Irving and many other players don’t really like the idea of having the season back. They even expressed their displeasure with having the season back up on a Friday conference call. LeBron doesn’t share the same opinion and he actually wants the season to resume.

LeBron wants the NBA season to return

What’s the main reason behind this opinion? Players want to focus more on activism related to the current situation in the country. Sam Amick from The Athletic reported that LeBron doesn’t think that playing games won’t affect this “activism.”

“So with so many fellow players focused on those very issues, and wondering aloud whether the magnitude of this Black Lives Matter moment means they might be better off making a difference at home, why wouldn’t he join this particular chat that was led by his old co-star who is now a vice president for the National Basketball Players Association, the Brooklyn Nets’ Kyrie Irving?

“Because sources say James, whose Lakers have as good a chance at the title as any of the 22 teams invited to Walt Disney World, believes playing in Orlando won’t deter his ability to continue inspiring change.

“He wants to keep making his mark off the court. He wants to play basketball. And as has always been the case, he clearly believes he can do both at the same time.”

King James skipped out on this call, but he will definitely try to have his voice heard. People have heard him. He is loud and clear when it comes to supporting the fight against racism and police brutality. Many other players share the same opinion, and they have all joined forces in this one.

The three-time NBA champion uses his social media as a platform to raise general awareness. Let’s see how will the NBA handle this situation. Will they resume the regular season?
