Report: Patriots Have Been In Contact With This Wide Receiver

The New England Patriots have been in contact with many players, and wide receiver Terrelle Pryor is one of them. New England may be interested in giving Pryor a chance for the season. The wide receiver may get a chance to play with head coach Bill Belichick and the Patriots.

Pryor talked to TMZ Sports, and revealed that his reps have talked to several football teams, including Belichick’s team.

“There have been conversations with a couple — five team,” Pryor said.

Pryor said that he has an interest in New England or his hometown Pittsburgh Steelers. What makes him talk about this? Many believe that this may be related to the signing of quarterback Cam Newton.

Those two are very intriguing,” Pryor told TMZ. “Especially Cam (Newton). I’ve been a big fan of him throughout the years … And, obviously, Big Ben, that’s my hometown of Pittsburgh, so that’s just two teams that I really want to play for.”

Pryor played quarterback in college and he is now a wide receiver. He hasn’t played an NFL game since the 2018 NFL season with the AFC East’s Buffalo Bills and New York Jets. The Ohio State player played three seasons with the then-Oakland Raiders and then joined the Cleveland Browns. Pryor played one year with the Washington Redskins.

The Patriots may need another wide receiver

The talented wideout sustained a lot of injuries in his career. There are just two seasons in which he played 11 games or more. This doesn’t change the fact that Pryor had an impressive 2016 campaign with the Browns. In that season, he had 77 receptions for 1,007 yards and four touchdowns in his only 16-game year.

I can still play,” Pryor told TMZ. “And, I can still make plays and dominate. I know that.”

Well, the Patriots sure need this self-confidence. Pryor may be a nice addition to the Patriots, and the team needs another talented wideout. Julian Edelman, Mohamed Sanu, N’Keal Harry and a few other wideouts will lead the team in 2020. They will have to try extra hard to win games. 2020 is a challenging season for the team.
