Colin Cowherd Reveals Bold W-L Prediction For New England

Colin Cowherd may be playing the wrong game and he made a big prediction for the Patriots. Did he just cross the red line? Again? Cowherd isn’t really confident in New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and veteran quarterback Cam Newton. He doesn’t really see great things coming from these two in the upcoming season.

Cowherd is one of the greatest supporters New England has ever had. He has shown great respect for the Patriots dynasty. New England was a dominant force for two decades and Cowherd had words of praise for the team. Well, things changed at some point in 2019 and Cowherd started saying things that don’t really look like him.

The Tennessee Titans upset quarterback Tom Brady and the Patriots in the AFC wild card round of the 2019 playoffs. Two months after the defeat, TB12 inked a two-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Brady had the courage to put the end to an era and a lot of analysts praised him for the willingness to make things differently.

Colin Cowherd makes a daring prediction for Patriots

The Patriots had second-year quarterback Jarrett Stidham and veteran journeyman Brian Hoyer on the roster. The organization signed Cam Newton to a one-year deal and he will get the veteran minimum. Coach Belichick has yet to make a call on his next starter but everything points to the fact that Newton is the next QB1.

Cowherd is not into this. The radio host believes that the Patriots will have six wins in 2020. Will Belichick let his team lose 10 games? Cowherd is not one of the guys who can’t wait to see what happens with the Patriots in 2020.

“Fox Bet has their over/under at nine. I think that’s an outrageously high number,” Cowherd said on Tuesday. “I think it’s a six-win football team. . . . This is not a nine-win team. To me, New England’s a six, seven-win team, tops.”

Was this the right prediction? Several analysts may agree with him. The Patriots will enter the upcoming season without some of their key contributors. Brady is gone, some players left the team in free agency and eight players opted out of the season. It’s too much to handle right now, but Belichick is confident.
