Frank Vogel Makes Huge Announcement Regarding Return of Rajon Rondo

The Los Angeles Lakers point guard injured his thumb before the restart of the 2019-20 season. He had to undergo surgery, so he left the bubble in July. Lakers coach Frank Vogel has recently commented on the potential return of Rajon Rondo.

Vogel informed that Rondo has re-entered the NBA bubble in Orlando, Fla.

As a result of the injury, the veteran has missed all of the Lakers’ seeding games in Orlando. However, if everything goes well, we’ll probably see the return of Rajon Rondo in the first round of the playoffs.

Although he’s been away from the team, the point guard has reportedly been working with Lakers senior basketball advisor Kurt Rambis.

On the season, Rondo is averaging 7.1 points, 3.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game.

He will be of great help to the team and will take some of the playmaking burden off LeBron. Let’s not forget that Rondo has tons of playoff experience. He made the playoffs on multiple occasions as a player with the Boston Celtics.

Los Angeles has clinched the No. 1 seed in the West and are now preparing for a deep postseason.

The Lakers are one of the favorites to win the championship. LeBron James and Anthony Davis have done a really great job with the team. These two have helped the Lakers make the top of the West.

Dwight Howard, Danny Green, JaVale McGee, Quinn Cook, LeBron and Rondo all have championship experience. The Lakers need Rondo to show his best performance in the postseason. He may have had his struggles in the past couple of seasons, but the Lakers definitely need him at the moment.
