Lakers Owner Jeanie Buss Reacts To The Players Boycotting

The Los Angeles Lakers had a really good series against the Portland Trail Blazers. LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and the rest of the Lakers players were winning the series. However, players came to Orlando to finish the season and use the attention they get to deliver a message. The NBA printed “Black Lives Matter” all over the floor. Players wore special messages on their jerseys. Sadly, they failed to deliver a message. A police officer shot Jacob Blake in the back. In other words, the shootings didn’t stop. People are seeking answers and the situation doesn’t look good at the moment. Lakers players aren’t the only superstars boycotting the game.

The Lakers planned to have their first chance to clinch a spot in the Western Conference Semifinals. They didn’t play the game and it was the right thing to be done. The Milwaukee Bucks were the first team to boycott the game against the Orlando Magic. King James delivered a message right after the decision was made and his team joined the boycott.

Jeannie Buss supports Lakers players boycotting the game

Lakers owner Jeannie Buss reacted to the team’s decision to boycott Game 5 and everyone saw this coming.

“I was excited to see us play – and hopefully close out our series – tonight,” Buss tweeted. “But I stand behind our players, today and always. After more than 400 years of cruelty, racism and injustice, we all need to work together to say enough is enough.”

The NBA will reschedule games for another day. Hopefully, players will have a chance to finish their series. But, things may take a different turn if the situation doesn’t improve. People need to hear the truth and everyone needs to understand that shooting others in the street is not the right thing to be done.

There will be an update on the next plan in Orlando. When will players take the floor again? We need to see a result. We need to regain our freedom. US citizens have been protesting in the streets for months. They have a message to deliver.
