The Los Angeles Lakers are once again are vs the Portland Trail Blazers in game 3 of the first round of the playoffs. The NBA bubble is having an odd impact on the playoffs. The home court advantage just, well, doesn’t really exist anymore. At least for now. But that is how it is in 2020, I guess. That could be both a good and bad thing for the Lakers.

They were part of a shocking upset in the first game, as the Trail Blazers pretty handily beat the Lakers without much to say from the boys in purple and gold.

The Lakers will be trying to take a nice 2-1 lead tonight vs the Portland Trail Blazers. In the first game, Damian Lillard had a total of 34 points to lead the Blazers to a 100-93 win. Anthony Davis turned the tables in the second game however. He had 31 points and 11 rebounds as the Lakers put together a 111-88 victory in Game 2.

Lillard left the game with a dislocated finger in game 2 but is expected to play in game 3.

The Lakers clearly showed what they can do when they are clicking in the second game. The boys in purple were able to hold them to 40.0 percent shooting from the field and 27.6 percent on 3-pointers. They were also able to shoot 47.8 percent from the field and 36.8 percent on 3-pointers which is much better than usual.

Also, Damian Lillard is very unlikely to be 100 percent for the game. Before game 3, Lillard was one of the best players in the bubble, with an average of 36.6 points and 9.2 assists per game. He had to leave with a dislocated finger on his non shooting hand. He is expected to play but if he is not 100 percent, he is not the same player.

The Lakers are a favorite in this game as they should be. As long as they take care of business, it should be no problem for them to continue their good play.
