New England Patriots Release First Official Image Of Cam Newton In Pats Uniform

The New England Patriots have officially released a photo of Cam Newton in his new jersey. The Patriots have been very busy in the off season this year. They have been trying to figure out how to replace their legendary quarterback Tom Brady.

Many fans are excited to see what Newton will bring to the field this fall. Patriots offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia had some good things to say about the competition.

“I think he has a huge edge, because of what he’s done in the league,” he said during an interview.“The guy was an MVP [in 2015]. We played against him a number of times, have a huge respect for him as a player and leader, and the things he’s done. This guy, from a skillset, [is] a lot different from guys we’ve had in there at quarterback over the years.”

He isn’t the only one excited to see Cam, either.

“I think it’s going to be an exciting year for us,” center David Andrews said. “I’m excited. Especially with the guys and the talent we have in that (QB) room. Cam obviously has played a lot of football and had a successful career. I’m just excited to see what all of our quarterbacks can do. They all bring something different to the table. I think it’s just going to make for a fun year for us.”

Running back James White also had a few things to say.

“I haven’t gotten a chance to talk to him really,” White said. “But I know he’s very competitive, very good football player. Excited to have him in the locker room. We have three talented quarterbacks on this football team, guys that can go out and compete and help us get wins.”

“So I’m excited to work out with all these guys. I’m excited to see them compete. We’re all going to be competing for playing time, so it’s going to be a lot of fun. It’s a time crunch right now, so we’re all trying to hit this as fast as possible and be on the same page.”
