Report: LeBron James Considered Leaving NBA Bubble

LeBron James has apparently thought very realistically about leaving the NBA bubble. The Los Angeles Lakers got back on track in a big way after losing their first game against the Portland Trail Blazers. After the first game, the Lakers went 4-0 and definitely looked like a number one seed.

But this has not come without some drama. We all know what has been going on around the United States recently. There was another shooting of a black man at the hands of police recently. This has caused widespread protests all around the United States.

As a result, the NBA players decided to take a stand. They decided to boycott their playoff games for 3 days until they started again on Saturday. They were trying to stand up for something that they believe is a huge issue in our country.

Report: LeBron James Considered Leaving NBA Bubble

According to LeBron James, this has caused him to think very realistically about leaving the NBA bubble. The bubble has been working for what its purpose is. No one within the bubble has been getting sick with COVID. But it also comes with its fair share of issues.

One of these issues is being away from family. LeBron admitted that he was thinking about leaving.

“I’ve had numerous nights and days where I’ve been thinking about leaving the bubble. I think everyone has, including you guys,” James said.

It does not seem lie anyone is questioning the need for an NBA bubble. The rest of the NBA season would have been nearly impossible to play without it. But that does not make it any easier to be away from loved ones. And as it stands, the Lakers could be in the bubble until October if they make it to the finals. That means at least another month.

Not only is it hard to be away from family, according to James, it is also hard to play with everything that has been going on recently. The most recent problem was the shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wis. This is the shooting that caused the players to boycott.
