ESPN Makes Bold Prediction For Patriots vs Seahawks Primetime Game

The New England Patriots played against Miami Dolphins in Week 1, and now they are off to the Seattle Seahawks. They won the first game and veteran quarterback Cam Newton had the motivation to play his best football. Will he replicate the same performance? ESPN made a prediction regarding the Patriots game vs Seahawks.

J.J. Taylor had a punch from the backfield in the opening win over Miami. The undrafted rookie managed to run for 22 yards on five carries and a 4-yard catch. These may not be the best stats, but head coach Bill Belichick and his staff made a good decision regarding Taylor.

Mike Reiss from ESPN believes that Taylor will use his debut as a base to create an excellent game. The Patriots will travel to Seattle for a road game, and the Arizona product will probably “turn in a highlight-reel play” during the game.

“Undrafted rookie running back J.J. Taylor will make a play that leads the national television audience to take notice,” Reiss predicted. “At 5-foot-8 and 185 pounds, he can play ‘hide and seek,’ according to running backs coach Ivan Fears, who has compared Taylor to Dion Lewis and Darren Sproles in terms of his physical stature.”

It’s a bold prediction on the Patriots vs Seahawks challenge

Taylor will try to make the most of his minutes on the field in the next few weeks. Second-year back Damien Harris will return from injured reserve in Week 4. The Patriots were super hyped about him in training camp.

Harris will join the gameplan right away, shrinking Taylor’s snaps. Well, Taylor may change this with his production in the next couple of games. Maybe Belichick will change his mind about Taylor and his role in the team.

Patriots players are motivated to win. They entered the 2020 NFL season as underdogs and we all know what happens when players take this role. Veteran Julian Edelman is leading the way and Patriots players like their new quarterback. What else can fans ask for? Pats will see a bigger challenge in Game 2, and Seattle is a big bite to swallow.
