Frank Vogel Offers Update on Anthony Davis’ Ankle Injury

Los Angeles Lakers big man Anthony Davis gave fans a scare with the ankle injury he sustained in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals against the Denver Nuggets. Davis went down with an awful injury and he was in pain. It was more than obvious that the superstar struggled on the field.

Well this didn’t stop Davis from helping the team win Game 4. It was a brilliant 114-108 win for LA and fans couldn’t be happier.

Los Angeles Lakers head coach Frank Vogel provided an update on Davis’ condition and his readiness for Game 5. According to Vogel, there’s “always concern” with an ankle injury like Davis had. However, coaches will see how Davis responds to the treatment. Vogel didn’t provide a specific diagnosis on Davis’ condition.

After a terrible loss in Game 3, Davis was determined to win. He had two rebounds in Game 3 and his situation improved last night.

Davis and his ankle injury didn’t destroy the Lakers’ chance to win

Davis went off to a hot start in Game 4. He finished it with 34 points on 10-of-15 shooting from the field while going 13 of his 14 free throw attempts.

LeBron finished the game with 26 points on 7-18 shooting from the field. LeBron’s jump shots didn’t hit the bottom of the net and this may be a problem when there aren’t many jump shooters on the floor. The Nuggets are crowding the paint as much as possible and this gives LA an even bigger headache. But they did finish the game with a win and that’s the only thing that matters.

LeBron tallied 9 rebounds and 8 assists in 37:22. He will probably play defense on Jamal Murray who hit 32 points in the game.

Dwight Howard had great game in his first start of the postseason for LA. He recorded 12 points, 11 rebounds, an assist and a steal. Six Lakers players finished the match in double numbers.

LA and Denver will meet on Saturday. Denver will try to come back from a 3-1 deficit. But, LeBron and Davis are here to shut down their efforts.
