Kendrick Perkins Delivers Blunt Message For Rajon Rondo Critics

There are a lot of Rajon Rondo critics out there it seems like. The Los Angeles Lakers are currently working towards getting to the Western Conference for the first time in many years. Currently, they are taking on the Houston Rockets and the series is currently tied 1-1. The Lakers once again came out slow in game 1 and lost in embarrassing fashion.

They were able to bounce back, much like they did in their first series against the Portland Trail Blazers. After the Lakers lost game one versus Portland, many people thought that they were going to be in trouble once again. They were able to get back on track, however. They ended up winning 4 games in a row.

But now they have Rajon Rondo back from injury. He was not able to play do to injury since the Lakers first arrived in the bubble. His presence should be huge for the Lakers going forward. He has some critics which has caused his former teammate Kendrick Perkins to stick up for him.

“[Shout out] Rondo Got Damn it… to all you casuals out there who think scoring is the the only way you can impact a game! This ain’t NBA2K,” Perkins wrote. “Rondo IMPACT was INVALUABLE Tonight! Btw he had 10 points 9 assists and he was a PLUS 28 tonight. Carry on…”

LeBron James also came out and made it clear he supports Rondo.

“I think he was just extremely aggressive, not only offensively, but defensively — taking the challenge on James [Harden], taking the challenge on whoever he was guarding. Just trying to lead,” said James, who had 28 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists.

“I mean, that’s what ‘Do [Rondo] is. He’s a leader. And for us to have him back in the postseason, it’s a key for our team. He comes in, he pushes the tempo, he gets guys involved and that doesn’t always show up in the stat sheet.

“The intangibles that he does both offensively and defensively — his nose is always around the ball and he just makes plays for us, and tonight was another example of that.”
