LeBron James Reveals The Most Ridiculous NBA Bubble Policy

LeBron James has blasted one specific NBA bubble rule. The Los Angeles Lakers once again came out flat versus the Houston Rockets recently. It seems like they would have figured it out the first time around. We have already talked about this before. The Lakers failed to win the first game of the first round of the NBA Playoffs once before.

The Portland Trail Blazers were also able to take advantage of the Lakers failure to show up. They ran up and down and were able to take game one against the Lakers. This obviously did not make LeBron very happy with his teammates. But apparently, the Playoffs and basketball are not the only things on his mind right now.

LeBron has come out strongly against a specific NBA bubble rule. The bubble has worked so far. There have been zero cases of COVId since the restart of the season. This is far from what we expected. This did not come without its fair share of rules. These are rules that many people did not agree with.

Denver Nuggest head coach Mike Malone talked about a specific rule that was difficult.

“First, I’m going to say something that has nothing to do with your question,” Malone said. “Today is Day 60. All right? The guys that came down here on July 7 — and there weren’t many of us because we were ravaged with COVID — this is the original crew. This is day No. 60. The reason why I bring that up is because the players have their families here, which they deserve, which is the right thing to do. The referees are allowed to bring one guest, which is great for the referees. The coaches, the coaches are not allowed to bring anybody.”

The NBA released this statement on the matter.

“Due to the highly contagious nature of COVID-19, limiting the number of people on campus was always a top priority. We agreed that players could bring in a limited number of family and close relations beginning with the second round of the playoffs.

“No other team or league staff, including coaches and referees, has guests on campus. We are hoping to add additional family members for other participants beginning with the Conference Finals. We are mindful of the incredible hardship these restrictions impose and wish it were not necessary for the health and safety of everyone involved.”

In response, several players, including LeBron James, had a feisty response.
