LeBron James Reveals What Helps Keep Him ‘Sane’ in the Bubble

As we have heard from many different people, including LeBron James, being in the NBA bubble is no easy task. The NBA Playoffs are in full swing. The Lost Angeles Lakers are one of the favorites to win the title this year. But so far, they have not looked too much like a finals level team. But they are very hot and cold. They are taking on the Houston Rockets tonight in game 3. The series is currently tied 1-1.

The players are now allowed to bring in their close family and friends into the bubble. This will no doubt help them continue on in the long run within the bubble. The coaches, however, are not able to bring in any family so far. Mike Malone, the Denver Nuggets head coach recently talked about how unfair this is.

“I say, ‘Shame on you, NBA.’ This is crazy,” Malone said. “I miss my family, and I think I speak for me, for my coaches and probably all the coaches down here. Sixty days and not being granted the privilege of having my family come here, to me, is criminal in nature, and that shouldn’t be.”

Now, LeBron James has come out with his way of keeping sane within the NBA bubble. It sounds like it might be a bit more difficult than we think. Staying in one place for so long cannot be easy.

“Family always comes first. Having that in your life, you have to put yourself in the position of what centers you,” LeBron James said. “Meditating helps a lot for me personally with taking a lot of deep breaths, closing my eyes and just centering myself and listening to my inner self and talking to my kids and my mom. That definitely is something that keeps me sane in the bubble.”

The NBA bubble has worked perfectly thus far and it is not surprising to see. Many people thought that the rules that were in place were far too strict. However, it has worked and we have nothing to complain about.
