LeBron James Sums Up What Life Has Been Like Inside The Bubble

LeBron James has already talked about his life in the NBA Bubble. It has been almost 3 whole months that the Los Angeles Lakers have lived in the bubble. This is a long time to be away from everything that you know and love. But now that the Lakers have made it to the Finals, it will be even longer that they will have to wait.

LeBron and the Lakers have been doing their best to make it to the Finals this year. And their dreams have officially come true. The Lakers will be taking on the Miami Heat and it should be a great series. Unfortunately, LeBron’s time in the Bubble seems to be very difficult for him.

“It feels like five years, but I’m as locked in as I have been in my career,” James said, via Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe.

“It’s probably been the most challenging thing I’ve ever done as far as a professional, as far as committing to something and actually making it through. But I knew when I was coming what we were coming here for. I would be lying if I sat up here and knew that everything inside the bubble, the toll that it would take on your mind and your body and everything else, because it’s been extremely tough. But I’m here for one reason and one reason only, and that’s to compete for a championship.”

LeBron also talked about his reasoning on not bringing his kids to the Bubble.

“There’s nothing for them to do. I mean, I’ve got a 16-year-old. I mean, he’s going to sit in the bubble and do what? I’ve got a 13-year-old. He’s going to do what? Five-year-old girl, there’s nothing for her to do. The park isn’t open. I mean, there’s only so many times she can go to the pool. My kids are too adventurous, and they love to do so much stuff. It makes no sense for them to be here. There’s nothing for them to do here. Go outside. Come back in. Go outside. Come back in. They can stay in L.A., and they’re great. There’s literally nothing for them to do here. This is not a kid-friendly place. Let’s be honest.”
