NFL Insider Has Update On Patriots vs Broncos Game After Another COVID-19 Positive Test

An NFL insider has a update on the New England Patriots vs the Denver Broncos game after yet another positive COVID-19 test. The Patriots are still trying to get back on track after the first round of positive tests. This has been very difficult to come back from given the difficulties this comes with. Cam Newton played pretty well going into the first couple of weeks.

But will he get a chance to come back any time soon? It looks like the Patriots might have to one again have a game postponed. Head coach Bill Belichick talked about what the team was trying to do to get back on track.

“We’re really not trying to make a lot of long-term decisions here or even game decisions until we can actually get out there today and start to go through our team preparation process together and get a better sense of where we are and what we need to do in the next 48-plus hours.”

“I feel like I had to make the decisions on what’s best for our football team, and what’s best for our football team is the health and safety of our team,” Belichick said. “That’s our No. 1 priority. Without that, we don’t have a team. We have to maintain the integrity of not only our football team, but also the extended team — our families and the loved ones for every member of our team. That’s got to come first. And I think everybody recognizes that, feels the same way.”

Luckily, at least for now, it sounds like the Patriots are still on for their game this week.

This would be great news if they are still able to play their game.

New England’s Week 4 game with the Kansas City Chiefs was postponed due to a positive COVID-19 test from Cam Newton and one positive from Kansas City as well. The game was eventually played on Monday night, however. Cam Newton was not able to play.
