Cam Newton Drops Quote of the Year During Interview

New England Patriots veteran quarterback Cam Newton sure knows how to deliver a quote in an interview. His interviews are super hilarious. In one of his most recent pieces, he surprised fans and media members.

Right after Nick Folk kicked the game-winning field goal that finished the Patriots losing streak, the quarterback talk to Salters who asked him about his performance

“I was getting tired of sucking,” he said.

The 2015 NFL MVP didn’t throw any TD passes. However, Newton found the end zone twice on the ground. He was super efficient with his throws. Newton had a nice rushing attack, and his teammates had a better game, too.

Cam Newton to deliver more than a quote

Newton may be going back to his usual shape. Mark Schoefield from Pats Pulpit wrote about Newton’s performance and the success he had in the game.

“Much of the angst surrounding the Patriots offense right now stems from worries over the passing game. If you dive into the numbers, over the past two weeks quarterback Cam Newton has completed 42 of 60 passes for 448 yards, no touchdowns, but also no interceptions. Over that same span of time, Newton has also carried the football 19 times for 70 yards and three touchdowns. Beyond that, Newton’s QBR of 90.1 in Week 9 placed him sixth in the league, behind Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Joe Flacco (sigh), Kyler Murray, and Matt Ryan. One data point, but Newton’s best QBR of the season, even surpassing his numbers in the narrow loss to the Seattle Seahawks back in Week 2.”

NFL analysts didn’t pay much attention to Newton’s success in the game against the New York Jets. He will have to be incredible in the match against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

Newton was great against the Jets, but he was drilled by New York rookie safety Ashtyn Davis. Had Newton see him, he would have had Izzo for a nice shot. Well, he didn’t do that and received a big hit. His neck bent to an uncomfortable angle. The Patriots didn’t add him to the injury report, so he sure feels great despite the hit.
