Cam Newton Reveals Josh McDaniels’ Blunt Halftime Message To Patriots Offense

Cam Newton has revealed Josh McDaniels’ blunt halftime message to the Patriots offense. The New England Patriots definitely needed to get back on track last night against one of the worse teams in the entire NFL. Cam Newton and the Patriot offense have been struggling to do much of anything of note in the past few weeks of the season.

Luckily, they were able to bounce back last night against the Jets. The COVID situation has definitely taken a toll on the Patriots team. Bill Belichick talked about what this has meant or the team moving forward.

“Today’s an important day in our preparation for the Broncos,” Belichick said. “We’ve had several days now of virtual meetings between the staff members and from the staff to the players. We’ve been able to cover a lot of things, but we haven’t spent any time together, so today’s our opportunity to do that. We look forward to that. One thing that we’ve learned this year repeatedly has been we have to be ready to adjust and adapt to changes and modifications and the way we do things and, in some cases, decisions that really come down to a very short amount of time that we have to be ready to adjust to.

“So we’re certainly taking things day by day — probably hour by hour would be more accurate. We’ll just see how we progress and then as we find out more on our end, or if there are other things externally that we can’t control that, then we’ll deal with those as they come. That’s the way it’s been all year. I think our team and our players have done a good job of handling those adjustments, and we’ll continue to do that.”

But the Patriots were able to bounce back after a few bad games. Cam Newton has come out with the one thing that Josh McDaniels told him during halftime of last nights game. Take a look.

“First thing Josh McDaniels says — no arguing, no screaming, no yelling — at halftime, the first thing Josh McDaniels says to the offense is: ‘Hey, we’re going to win this game,’” Newton said Tuesday morning on WEEI’s “The Greg Hill Show.

“And those words,” Newton continued, “that statement kind of put everything into perspective and registered a lot of things in everybody’s mind, I know it did for me.”

This is a good confidence booster. What do you think?
