Danny Green Breaks Silence on Lakers Trade, Sends Message Just For LeBron James

The Los Angeles Lakers agreed to a trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder. They decided to trade one of their veterans in order to get Dennis Schroder. It was a big decision for the team, but General Manager Rob Pelinka had to make it. Danny Green ended up in the Lakers trade deal with Oklahoma.

Green didn’t say anything about his departure. Lakers superstar LeBron James bid a farewell to his former teammate, thanking him for his contribution to the game. Green was part of the title-winning roster and he got his ring.

The veteran took notice of LeBron’s farewell and had the perfect response to it.

LeBron showed public appreciation for Quinn Cook too. The Lakers waived Cook Thursday and his emotional response made people cry. The veteran paid tribute to his dad, a diehard Lakers fan, showing the world that his departure from Los Angeles made him really sad.

Danny Green joins Philadelphia following his trade from the Lakers

Green’s trade is official now. Schroder is a Laker and LeBron is already excited about their game on the floor. LeBron praised Schroder’s talent last year, and he really hoped that his team would get the German native through a trade.

The Lakers won a title this past season and they will try to defend the title in 2020-21. Butler and his Miami heat lost the series to LeBron’s team and LA players returned home as winners. Green had his contribution to the team and he helped the Lakers win the 17th NBA title in team history.

Green started in 68 regular-season games. He also started all 21 of the team’s playoff games. The three-time NBA champion was averaging 8.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.3 steals in 2019-20.

Oklahoma moved Green to the Philadelphia 76ers, and this is actually good news for the veteran. The 33-year-old will have a better chance to win a title with the Sixers.  Green has career averages of 8.9 points per game on 40.0 percent shooting from downtown. Philadelphia can really use his talent and he will use the opportunity to compete.
