Los Angeles Lakers head coach Frank Vogel has to make some calculations regarding his starters for the upcoming game against the San Antonio Spurs. Three players are listed questionable for the game.

Anthony Davis deals with right adductor strain and LeBron James nurtures his left ankle sprain. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope treats his left ankle sprain. All three players are listed questionable for Thursday’s match against the Spurs.

Lakers need their starters for the upcoming games

Davis and LeBron have key roles in Los Angeles. They lead the team throughout games and playing without them would be really hard. This would definitely affect the team’s chances to win the game. Let’s not forget that the Lakers are in the middle of a four-game winning streak.

LeBron has been treating his ankle injury for the past few weeks. However, he hasn’t missed a game. The four-time NBA champion was taking the court as if there was nothing wrong with his ankle. Davis is dealing with the same injury he had in the past. He got the injury during his time with the New Orleans Pelicans.

KCP hurt his ankle in the Jan.1 game against the Spurs. He missed some time off the court and didn’t play in the two road games against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Vogel will have to find the right formula for his starting lineup. Playing without his key players would be hard, but the Lakers head coach has the situation under control. They are playing Friday night again. The Chicago Bulls are next on the list.

Davis had a low start of the season, but Vogel is confident about his performance. The front office signed Davis to increase the team’s chances to win a championship. Davis turned out to be the best partner for Lakers superstar LeBron James.

A season-ending injury is the last thing LA needs right now. LeBron and Davis have to be careful. Vogel has already entertained the idea of creating the perfect load management plan for his team. In other words, both LeBron and Davis are expected to miss games in the regular season.
