Patriots’ Julian Edelman Hints at Plans for 2021 Season

The New England Patriots will have to make some big decisions regarding their future. NFL experts have asked so many questions about the team and Bill Belichick’s first offseason move. Veteran quarterback Cam Newton is making the best headlines these days. However, another Patriots veteran has grabbed everyone’s attention. Will Julian Edelman join his teammates in 2021?

The Patriots are coming off a disappointing season. Edelman was placed on injured reserve in October and he didn’t get the chance to play another game. What will happen next?

From what we can see, Edelman is getting ready for another season in the league. Big Cat asked the 2018 Super Bowl MVP about his future plans, and Edelman provided a really clear response.

“You guys are nuts,” the veteran wideout said. “What are you talking about? Right now we’re being a dad right now and we’re sitting back and training, getting our body right for the next year. It’s a time to get away from football right now. It was a long, crazy year. I don’t know. We’re not there yet. This whole year was so jacked up, man. It was so long. I just need to decompress for a little bit. I am out in L.A. right now and taking my kid to school and picking her up, and doing those kind of things that you don’t get to do during the season. Enjoying that right now, so I don’t necessarily know what you guys are talking about.”

Yes, he really sounds like someone who is ready to win more games.

Julian Edelman to return stronger in 2021

New England had to deal with several problems in 2020. The receiving unit was pretty weak. Edelman was recovering from a knee injury. But, the veteran will return stronger than ever. He will turn into a key player in the passing game in 2021. Maybe Edelman will play as a fourth wide receiver behind Jakobi Meyers and two newly added players.
