Dennis Schroder Issues Audacious Comment After Losing to Mavs

Los Angeles Lakers veteran guard Dennis Schroder doesn’t mind losing games as long as his team makes the postseason. Big Man Anthony Davis played his first game following the injury he suffered on Valentine’s Day. AD is back and LA lost the game. The team struggled against the Mavericks and lost the game 115-110.

The Lakers entered the new season as the top seed in the Western Conference. LeBron James and AD missed too much time due to their injuries and LA fell to the fifth seed in the West. The team has a 35-24 record at this point of the regular season.

If you ask Schroder, he will say there’s no reason to sound the alarm. Lakers players are not even worried about the current ranking. The team has to make the postseason and their seed has zero importance.

Schroder finished the game against Dallas with 25 points and 13 assists against Dallas.

Dennis Schroder doesn’t mind losing games

Fans are pretty concerned because the Lakers went 4-6 in the last 10 games. Losing both superstars was a big blow for the Lakers. But, seedings in the NBA Playoffs aren’t that important. LeBron will soon join the starting lineup and head coach Frank Vogel will achieve the greatest depth in the regular season.

NBA fans are slowly returning to courts in states where coronavirus restrictions have been relieved. NBA players don’t really have homecourt advantage given the limited number of fans in attendance. TNT analyst Shaquille O’Neal said that the Lakers are favorites since they don’t depend on homecourt advantage to win games.

The Lakers shouldn’t go down to the seventh or eighth seed. A few bad games can knock the team out of contention. So, is Schroder right about these comments?

Schroder and Vogel share the same opinion. The Lakers head coach doesn’t even think of the current standings. Getting everyone healthy and ready for the postseason is more important at this point. Bringing LeBron back is the hottest topic these days. He will probably return in the next couple of weeks. Let’s see what happens next.
