Anthony Davis Responds To Devin Booker’s ‘Dirty Play’ On Dennis Schroder

Things got really hot in the game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns. LA won Game 3 of the series and celebrated great success. Well, something strange happened and Devin Booker was ejected. He shoved a Lakers veteran guard and yes, the incident is making headlines. Lakers big man Anthony Davis stood in defense of his teammate, Dennis Schroder, and we cheer to that!

Booker shoved Schroder who was in the air going towards the basket.

Yes, it was a dirty play. The Suns veteran didn’t make an attempt on the basket and the German native could’ve been hurt on this play. Well, he did some push-ups to show everyone he was already hitting the ground.

Lakers players were clear that the play was beyond the pale. AD had an interesting reaction. According to him, the play exceeded the limits of normal, physical playoff ball.

“Can’t happen, can’t do that. I mean, they’ve been chirping, it’s playoff basketball, but you don’t push a guy out of the air like that with two hands,” AD said after the game. “It’s a dirty play, Dennis could’ve really gotten hurt right there. Keep it in between the lines.

“I know Monty (Williams), he’s not that type of coach. He’s probably going to say something to him. That just can’t happen. Hard fouls, things like that, playoff basketball. We accept those. But to blatantly push a guy with two hands out the air, it’s a scary play. Good thing he’s okay, but plays like that…it’s unacceptable.”

Booker finished the night with 19 points on an inefficient 6-of-19 shooting before leaving the floor. AD led the Lakers with game-high 34 points and 11 rebounds. LeBron James finished the night with 21 points and nine assists. Schroder scored 20 points.

LA will play Game 4 on Sunday. It a big game for the Lakers and they really need to win it. LeBron and Davis need to keep the game at this level. Hopefully, they will shut down the Suns in the next two games.
