LeBron Has Blunt Response To Playoff Standing Question

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is not really worried about the playoff standing. He is back into game action and now is the perfect time to get ready for the rest of the season.

The NBA is setting up a play-in tournament to give teams another chance to earn a spot in the postseason. LeBron wasn’t really a fan of the tournament. Did he change his mind? Maybe he has just come to terms with the fact that his team may play in it. LA lost too many games in LeBron’s absence. Anthony Davis and LeBron missed a lot of games due to their injuries.

AD suffered an injury on Valentine’s Day. LeBron susrained his high-knee strain on March 20. Lakers players did their best to stay afloat, but their record doesn’t look to well at the moment. Dennis Schroder helped the team win games in the past few months but he missed a lot of time too. In other words, LA may take part in the play-in tournament.

LeBron talks about the playoff standing as a winner

Two weeks ago, LeBron said that whoever came up with the idea for a play-in tournament “needs to be fired.” The Lakers weren’t fully healthy at that point and were almost out of the top six seeds.

LA is at full strength. They defeated the Indiana Pacers on Saturday. Players will have to win the game against the New Orleans Pelicans. The Portland Trail Blazers have to lose the game to the Denver Nuggets to clinch the sixth seed and avoid the tournament. After yesterday’s game, LeBron didn’t say much about finishing seventh.

“Let the chips fall where they may. We’re ready to go,” LeBron said.

If LeBron and Davis are healthy and the rest of the team finds strength to win, LA is good enough to make some cool noise in the playoffs. But, they will have to avoid the extra games and get ready to play the No.3 seed in the first round.

LeBron and AD will do wonders with the team.
