Patriots Fans Should Be Frightened by a Reported Possible Plan Involving Bill Belichick and Matt Patricia

The New England Patriots made some huge changes in the offseason. They brought some talented players in free agency and selected great players in the 2021 NFL Draft. But, that’s not the only change New England made. Head coach Bill Belichick brought Matt Patricia back to the team right after the end of the 2020 season.

Patricia was assistant coach and former defensive coordinator with the Patriots for a really long time. He didn’t make the end of the third season as a head coach of the Detroit Lions. Belichick and Patricia have one special plan. Well, it’s more like a plan created by Coach B. If it comes to fruition, Patricia may be a head coach again in the near future. Are Patriots fans worried about this?

Patricia became a head coach of the Lions in 2018. Before he took the new role, it made sense to believe that either he or offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels would replace Belichick.

Great Patricia didn’t have much luck with the Lions, so the Patriots may take their plans in a different direction.

Belichick and the Patriots take risks on a daily basis, and the latest update doesn’t really come as a surprise to us all.

The Boston Globe reported that the Patriots are grooming Patricia for a bigger role in the next few years. He may easily become their head coach or general manager.

Patriots fans may be worried and someone in Detroit is having a good laugh. That’s what doubters say.

Patricia has the perfect resume to become a head coach again. He has been coaching in the NFL before and has had multiple roles with the Patriots in the past.

Well, Patricia’s time with the Lions was filled with issues. Some accused him of trying to replicate the Patriots’ culture in Detroit. Players and fans had issues with him and some of them were relieved to see him go. The team was plagued with injuries, but it wasn’t his fault after all.
