But, that’s not the only change New England made. Head coach Bill Belichick brought Matt Patricia back to the team right after the end of the 2020 season.

Patricia was assistant coach and former defensive coordinator with the Patriots for a really long time. He didn’t make the end of the third season as a head coach of the Detroit Lions. Belichick and Patricia have one special plan. Well, it’s more like a plan created by Coach B. If it comes to fruition, Patricia may be a head coach again in the near future. Patricia became a head coach of the Lions in 2018. Before he took the new role, it made sense to believe that either he or offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels would replace Belichick.
