Major Update Made on When Carmelo Anthony May Sign With Lakers

Carmelo Anthony is making his way to the Los Angeles Lakers. Simple as that. ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski was the first to report that the veteran may ink a deal with the Lakers.

Melo inked a one-year deal with the Lakers as confirmed by his agent. Wojnarowski’s plan became reality.

The Lakers have just added a seasoned veteran to their roster. They really hope to make a deep playoff run again and win the 18th championship in team history. LeBron and Anthony Davis won a ring inside the NBA bubble in Orlando.

Melo has a big chance to win his ring. Playing alongside LeBron and AD sure means a thing.

Anthony is really close with LeBron. They are great friends. Let’s not forget that both LeBron and Melo entered the NBA in the 2003 NBA Draft. LeBron had more success than his dear friend. He even tried to bring Melo to LA. The Lakers didn’t want him last season. They didn’t want him in the first season LeBron had with the team.

Anthony has had several stops in the NBA. He had trouble finding a home in the NFL, but his past two seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers showed everyone that Melo has a lot left in the tank.

In the 2020-21 NBA season, the Blazers used Melo off the bench. He was averaging 13.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game.

King James earned four rings and Melo has yet to get his first championship.

The Lakers are entering the new season as favorites to win a ring. This may be the last opportunity Melo has to add a ring in his resume.

LeBron is sure happy to have his friend around. The Lakers have Russell Westbrook on the roster. They also got Trevor Ariza and Dwight Howard. Melo is another veteran to join LA. Let’s see how will these veterans finish the season. Lakers veterans will do their best to get a ring.
