Mic’d-Up Video Emerges of Kyle Van Noy Congratulating Mac Jones After His First TD

Mac Jones had his very first TD in the NFL and Patriots fans are fired up. Guess who was the first to celebrate the big shot… Kyle Van Noy! This mic’d-up video says it all! Jones did a good job but he didn’t really celebrate it. His team lost and he was devastated.

Jones hit his first touchdown pass in the second quarter of the season opener.

“Good (expletive), (Agholor), you deserve that,” Van Noy said, before turning to Jones: “Mac! Mac! My man, congrats, baby. First of many. Let’s go.”

It’s interesting to note that Jones didn’t want to take the ball when Agholor handed it to him. Why didn’t he acknowledge this milestone?

“That doesn’t really matter. It’s one touchdown,” Jones said. “We’ve got to score more. It’s not like the game was over right there. We gotta do better in the red zone and get more touchdowns. And we will.”

He really looks like someone who is coached by head coach Bill Belichick.

Mac Jones impressed everyone with his first TD

Jones’ touchdown put the Patriots ahead, but his team lost to the Miami Dolphins. The Damien Harris turnover late in the fourth quarter shut down the chance for a win. It was a loss for the Patriots. They learned the lesson!

It was a disappointing game but Jones’ performance was incredible. He earned words of praise from offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels. The rookie completed 29 of 39 passes for 281 yards and one touchdown. These numbers are crazy, but Jones would love to see more from his game. His team will play against the New York Jets and Jones will have to play really hard to improve his numbers.

Former Patriots wideout Julian Edelman praised the first-rounder, too. Jones has better stats than his rookie friends. He is exceptional and we have a good feeling for his performance in the NFL. I guess Belichick has found his quarterback of the future. Van Noy will be working with an excellent group of players and the Patriots will probably have a better year than they did in 2020.
