Patriots Share List Of Inactives For Week 2 Game vs Jets

The New England Patriots have shared a list of inactives for their week 2 battle vs the Jets. The Patriots are going into week two looking to get back on track against the Jets. They were let down by their offensive performance in week 1 against the Miami Dolphins. They were counting on their rookie QB Mac Jones to over-perform in his first ever NFL game. But that did not happen.

Now, the list of inactive players has been released.

Rhamondre Stevenson’s poor New England Patriots start has seen his name pop up on the list.

He is just one of six total players that have found themselves on the inactive list. Here are the others.

LB Kyle Van Noy
OT Trent Brown
RB Rhamondre Stevenson
TE Devin Asiasi
OLB Ronnie Perkins
CB Shaun Wade

Firstly, J.J Taylor will also be replacing Elandon Roberts who did not have a good game in week one. Ivan Fears was asked if J.J Taylor was up for the task.

 “You know it.”

“Last year, J.J. would step up,” Fears said. “Whenever he was asked to play, he’d make some plays. The guy’s a doggone good back and he’s just got to wait for his shot. As a result, he had a hell of a week last week in practice as a scout-team guy, helping us and helping the defense.”

“He’s ready. We’re always looking at those situations, and we’re going to — and hopefully, he’ll have another good doggone week. He’s definitely someone that we’d like to think about.”

It sounds like this will be a good opportunity for some of these players to get back on track.

Belichick had some interesting things to say about Taylor.

“He’s out there every day,” said Belichick. “He works hard. He’s one of the hardest-working rookies, one of the hardest-working kids on the team, and I think that’s shown up in the improvement and the performance that he’s been able to have through the course of training camp and now into the start of the regular season.”

What do you think about this?
