Rob Pelinka Releases Big Prediction on Anthony Davis For Upcoming Season

Rob Pelinka has come out with a huge prediction on Anthony Davis for the upcoming Lakers season. The Los Angeles Lakers are set to get their season started on October 20th against the Golden State Warriors. Fans are looking forward to the season getting started after a poor end to last year. The Lakers were taken out by the Pheonix Suns who eventually lost to the Bucks in the Finals.

Rob Pelinka has not been making the media rounds ahead of the season. He recently came out and talked about Alex Caruso and what happened with him leaving.

“We had a plan to take some of the skillset that Alex brought to the table and find that in other free agents that were available,” Pelinka said. “If you look at how we ended up filling out the roster, it was important for us to be strong in all the different basketball categories, and we felt like we dimensionalized that with some of the other guys that we signed.”

“There’s some players, when you play with people like LeBron or Russell. Maybe when that open ball is kicked to you, it’s a little bit heavier. But Melo, I don’t think he’s paying attention to who’s throwing him the ball.”

He also talked about the open roster spots.

“We do have two open roster spots, 14 and 15,” Pelinka said. “Most likely 15 will be held (open), just with the tax implications and also holding that potentially for the buyout deadline. That’s usually a tool that a lot of contenders use. So I think there’s a likelihood there.”

“We’re never absolute, we’re always fluid and anything could be presented. And we are in kind of our final evaluations on what to do with the 14th spot,” Pelinka said. “That’s something that we will make the decision on and around before camp starts on Tuesday. So we’re still kind of evaluating that as we speak.”

Now he has come out with some words on his thoughts on Anthony Davis.

“I think there’s two primary goals,” said the Lakers GM Pelinla. “One is to win a championship for sure. He talks about that with his team. And then two, is he knows that he belongs to be in that saying of the most dominant and the best two-way player in the game. I think he has the skills and he is that player and he worked very hard this offseason. I think you’ll see him accomplish those two things with this season in my opinion.”
