LeBron James Reacts To Playing Against Son’s Ex-High School Teammate

LeBron James has reacted to playing against his son’s ex-high school teammate and it is an interesting point. The Lakers have won one game so far this season. They failed to win in the preseason and took one game in the win column so far. They are thought to be one of the best teams in the NBA this season but so far, the play on the court has not shown that. Hopefully, they are able to get back on track soon after a very slow start.

LeBron recently played against Zaire Williams on the Memphis Grizzlies and he talked about it after the game. This was pretty cool to see.

“I looked at Ziaire a couple of times, and I was just shaking my head inside…” James said in his postgame press conference after the game. “It’s a weird dynamic for myself to see something like that but, happy for the kid obviously but I definitely had a moment for sure.”

This was the same game in which Carmelo had a very good game a broke a scoring record.

LeBron talked about what he saw from Melo.

“I think it’s always sweeter when you win and even more sweeter when it just happens organically,” James said.

“He was playing straight up flow and rhythm basketball. To move into ninth all-time on the scoring leaderboard is special. Usually, when some of my friends have these kinds of achievements, I text them or call them or Facetime them and put something on social media. In this case, I got to do it in person because he’s my teammate now. I got to do it in person. That made it special for me.”

Melo also had some words.

“I keep saying it’s an honor and blessing to be on that list and pass Moses (Malone) for what he did for the game of basketball,” said Anthony after the game. “It’s hard to put it into words. That I’m still here and doing it, that’s what I’m excited about, that’ I’m here in year 19 and doing what I’m able to do. I’m still passionate about the game, and I’m still passionate about coming to work and getting better.”
