Rodney Harrison Scolds Patriots’ J.C. Jackson For Chargers Comments

Rodney Harrison has scolded Patriots’ player J.C. Jackson for his chargers comments. The Patriots are coming off of a big win against the New York Jets. It was the first impressive win of the season for the Patriots, with all of the other games either being losses or close wins. But the 54-13 thumping of the Jets was pretty impressive and exactly what the Patriots needed going forward. The fans needed a big game like this where both sides of the ball looked equally impressive.

But now there is some animosity between the Los Angeles Chargers and New England Patriots ahead of their clash. Patriots’ J.C Jackson made some comments during the week about what they needed to do in order to come out with the victory. Apparently, former Patriots player and now analyst Rodney Harrison did not much like what he had to say.

Jackson had some simple things to say.

“I mean, we’ve just gotta do what we do best,” the Patriots player said Thursday. “Play our football and trust each other, trust our teammates.”

Harrison responded with what he thought about what Jackson had to say.

“J.C. should know better,” the former Patriots player and current sports analyst for NBA said. “You always respect your opponent. I don’t care how good or how bad your opponent is. You always show a level of respect to your opponent. J.C. probably got caught up in the emotions of the game, but at the end of the day, he’s going to have to back it up in front of a national audience. We’ll see what happens.”

These are wise words coming from a former Patriots player. But confidence is always important when it comes to playing in the NFL. Jackson just needs to know how to use his confidence in order to push his teammates. Regardless, it should be an interesting game once the players take the field tomorrow.

This comes after Belchick had some nice words for the Chargers QB.

“It’s because he’s really good. Yeah. He’s really good. I thought he was outstanding. He just really had everything you’re looking for. He’s very athletic. Good arm. A lot of poise. Played well in Oregon. Just a number of big plays. All the passes. All the throws, but extended plays, scrambles, could run the read-zone and all that. He’s as good a quarterback as I’ve seen come out here in quite a while, especially as it fits the pro game.”
