Russell Westbrook Delivers Stern Reminder Amid Questionable Fit With Lakers

Russell Westbrook looked like a good fit for the Los Angeles Lakers. The front office traded three players to get him. Well, he had a poor start with the team and some analysts are a bit worried. Westbrook is not too worried about this. He is well aware of his slow start, but he knows that things will get better later in the season. The veteran joined the Lakers for a reason. He wants to win his first ring.

NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal said that Westbrook is nothing but a role player. He wouldn’t really call him a third option behind LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

If you ask Westbrook, he will say there’s no room for panic right now.

Russell Westbrook is a good fit for the Lakers

It’s too soon to make any predictions at this point. we do know that LeBron like his team.

“It’s all a process,” Westbrook said. “Everyone wants, as much as we do, we want to win every game, everybody thinks we should win every game, blah, blah, blah. We’ll figure it out.

“I’m O.K. with adversity. I never panic. Especially at the start of a season. There’s really no need to. A season is too long. It’s good to get off to a good start, to feel good about yourself. Especially me personally, I like to make sure that … as the season goes on I’m constantly getting better and better.”

Will the Lakers let Westbrook go at this point? They needed someone who can shoot the ball and space the floor. He is a talented player and LeBron likes him. Westbrook’s slow start was actually a result of a different “issue.” LA has a lot of new players on the roster. Is this really an issue? Let’s see how will things go later in the season. Players broke the spell and won the game against the Memphis Grizzlies. They have to win more games to prove doubters wrong. Everyone should play their best basketball to put the team in a better position. The West is packed with talent and experience. Let’s win the next one!
