Gregg Popovich Weighs in on Enes Kanter Amid Beef With LeBron James

Gregg Popovich has weighed in on Enes Kanter while he and LeBron James are currently having a bit of beef. LeBron James and the Lakers have been struggling mightily to start the NBA season. In what was supposed to be one of the best teams in the NBA, they have failed to look impressive at all. They have been losing to teams that they should be blowing out and it better stop before it gets too late in the season.

Now a lot of talk has surrounded Enes Kanter and his apparent beef with LeBron James. We all remember what happened originally. Kanter came out and blasted James on Twitter, accusing him of picking and choosing the social justice issues.

Now, head coach of the San Antonio Spurs, Gregg Popovich has but in his two cents.

“I am glad that Enеs speaks up when he feels like it,” said the Spurs coach. “I think it’s great. No reason not to.”

“We live in a world now where people are just willing to make stuff up and lie, promote cоnspiracy theоries, all these sorts of things – and a lot of people are buying it,” Popovich continued. “So pointing things out, calling it out when you need to is, important.”

LeBron previously responded to Kanter’s Twitter post.

“I don’t give too many people my energy,” said James. “He’s definitely not someone I would give my energy to. He’s trying to use my name to create an opportunity for himself. I definitely won’t comment too much on that. … He’s always had a word or two to say in my direction, and as a man, if you’ve got an issue with somebody, you really come up to him. He had his opportunity tonight. I saw him in the hallway, and he walked right by me.”

It is clear that Kanter has his own opinions on LeBron James and what he shows he cares about. And frankly, Kanters is allowed to have this opinion as it does hold some merit.
