LeBron James Has Blunt Reaction To 1-Game Suspension

LeBron James missed the game against the New York Knicks due to a one-game suspension. The NBA suspended the king of basketball for elbowing Detroit Pistons big man Isaiah Stewart. It was a big battle, and the whole thing lasted for at least 15 minutes. Stewart was hit in the face and we all know what happened next. The big man got really man and went after LeBron. Players, coaches, officials… They all tried to contain Stewart. He was everywhere. The altercation resulted in two suspensions. LeBron missed one game and Stewart had to miss two.

The Lakers couldn’t beat the Knicks despite Russell Westbrook’s triple-double. Broddie was impressive but he actually gave the Knicks a chance to gain huge advantage in the first quarter of the game.

Playing without LeBron is always a challenge. Well, the four-time NBA champion returned for the next game and helped his team win. He finished the night with 39 points. The Lakers needed him badly and he returned right on time.

LeBron James felt bad following the suspension

How did LeBron feel following the altercation? He got ejected after all. This was his second altercation in his career. Was it fair? Absolutely not.

“I mean, it’s some bulls—. But whatever…I was devastated,” he told ESPN. “It’s my favorite place in the world to play, so I was looking forward to it. But it is what it is.”

He didn’t want to hurt Stewart. It wasn’t an intentional hit.

“There was a boxout on the free throw line. His elbow got kind of high, it got me — if you look, if you watch the film — it got me off balanced a little bit, and his elbow lifted my arm, and I basically tried to swim move, swim down on him, on his arm,” James said. “And when I swung down on his arm, he got off balance and the left side of my hand grazed his face…But definitely accidental.”

Hopefully it won’t happen again. LeBron shouldn’t miss games. He has already missed too many. The Lakers have a chance to improve their record now.
