Damian Lillard Picks Lakers’ LeBron James for NBA MVP

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has every right to win the NBA MVP award for the season. The king is making his case for the big award, and Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard. LeBron and Lillard will probably meet in the NBA playoffs depending on the seeding games inside the bubble.

The guard appeared on the Dan Patrick Show and said he would vote for King James over Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo for NBA MVP.

Lillard said that LeBron has been a dominant force in his 17th NBA season. The Portland guard also gave LeBron credit for leading a squad that hasn’t made the playoffs since 2012-13 to the No. 1 seed in the West. That’s not something you underestimate and Lillard knows it best.

LeBron James is the NBA MVP

LeBron’s durability has surprised many fans in the NBA. He motivates other players to do better, and yes, LeBron is the best teacher young players will ever have. He is 35 and he doesn’t even think of stopping now.

King James leads the NBA with his 10.6 assists per game with the Lakers. LeBron was averaging 25.7 points and 7.9 rebounds per game and he sure makes a big impact on every possession.

The Lakers are on top of the West and he is the perfect MVP candidate. Well, Giannis won’t give up without a fight and his numbers are great. The Greek Freak has the advantage over LeBron in team record (53-12 to 49-14), points (29.6), rebounds (13.7), field-goal percentage (54.7 to 49.8) and blocks (1.0 to 0.5) per contest. LeBron is tied for eight with Joel Embiid at 26.0.

Giannis doesn’t get the same help as LeBron. The king is playing with Anthony Davis. The former Pelicans player helps open up the floor for King James and make a lot of easy assists. Davis is a pick-and-roll option and a player who can pop out to the perimeter.

Lillard may vote for LeBron, but Giannis has better numbers and a better record. He did that without the help of someone like the Lakers big man. Let’s see how will this situation end.
