Anthony Davis Calls Out Former Lakers Big Man For ‘Dangerous Play’

The Los Angeles Lakers will have a play-in game on Tuesday and Anthony Davis is listed as questionable for the match. Davis and his Lakers teammates won’t have trouble winning the game, but the big man did have something to say about the dirty play Larry Nance Jr. pulled out.

“I was in the air,” Davis told the media after beating the Pelicans. “So, obviously it’s a dangerous play. I know he’s not a dirty player. But I’m in the air and then get shoved in the back. Hyperextension. It just locks up. Nothing concerns me, though.”

The Lakers big man left the game with 5:22 minutes till the end and the team ruled him out. Davis finished the night with 30 points and 11 rebounds.

Big man Davis is serious about the challenge his Lakers teammates face

AD may be dealing with a back injury, but he won’t miss the rematch for anything in the world. The Lakers face a big challenge and have to win pretty much every game.

“No doubt that I’m gonna play,” Davis said. “Just see how it feels the rest of the day; I’ll have to get massages, get some treatment … keep loose. See how I feel over the next 24, 36 hours and get ready for Tuesday.”

Beating the Pelicans again will push the Lakers to the No.7 seed. They will have to play against the Denver Nuggets though. Some believe that the franchise will lose the game in order to avoid Nikola Jokic and his teammates. Davis is confident about the game, so let’s see what happens.

“We’ll have enough confidence going into Tuesday game to try to do everything we can to get the win.”

Lakers players have elevated their performance at the right time. They had some struggles at one point of the season, but it’s a matter of the past now. LA has a chance to make the NBA Finals this season and even Skip Bayless believes that they can beat the Nuggets.
