Jakobi Meyers Reveals How N’Keal Harry Inspired Him To Join Patriots

The New England Patriots have a bunch of great players on the roster. Players contribute to the game in every way possible. Of course, some players struggled to make an impact, and some of them were selected in the first round. Jakobi Meyers talked about N’Keal Harry, and his words go against pretty much anyone who criticized the first-rounder.

Do you know that Meyers joined the Patriots just because they selected young Harry in the first round of the NFL Draft?

Jakobi Meyers respects N’Keal Harry

Meyers talked about this on the most recent episode of Kyle Van Noy’s “Elite Eatz” web series. He did a really good thinking and decided to join the Patriots. They got a receiver with their first-round pick.

“So this is a story that I’ve never told anybody in my life,” Meyers said. “And you know N’Keal is my brother. I love N’Keal. We be with each other every day. But when it came down to picking teams, I had a couple teams. So I looked at all the teams who offered me, and it’s: did they draft a receiver? And if they drafted a receiver, where did they draft him?

“The highest-drafted that was a receiver was the Patriots, and I said, so if they drafted a receiver in the first round, I’m going to go in there and show them I could play with a first-rounder. I was just kind of betting on myself.”

Meyers turned out to be the top option for the Patriots. The team got a few other players, and Meyers leads his group. He has great connection with rookie quarterback Mac Jones and stacked 102 targets. There’s more. Meyers also leads the Patriots with 64 receptions for 664 yards and one touchdown which is his career high.

The Patriots will try to get the best of their regular season. They have a 9-5 record at this point. There are a few games left on their schedule. The Buffalo Bills will try to get their revenge but it won’t go that easy. They have already lost a game to the Patriots.
