Bradley Beal Takes Shot at Lakers Over Recent Kyle Kuzma Play

Bradley Beal and Kyle Kuzma have built excellent connection on the field. The Los Angeles Lakers traded young Kuzma to the Wizards to get Russell Westbrook. It was a good move for Kuzma and his performance improved significantly. Washington is not winning too many games, but they look good on the floor.

Kuzma performs a lot better in Washington. His stats have improved significantly. Beal noticed this improvement and he used the opportunity to blast the Lakers. Indirectly. If you ask Beal, he will say Kuzma’s stats improved just because he is away from the Lakers.

“He now has it where he can flap his wings,” Beal said. “Kuz can breathe and relax and go play. He doesn’t have to worry about all that outside stuff, the distractions per se. He can go hoop.”

Did he take a shot at the Lakers? One thing stands for sure. Kuzma is happy with his current team. He will always remember the success he had with the Lakers, but he is definitely happier than he used to be.

Bradley Beal motivates Kyle Kuzma

“I’m just in a great situation here in Washington,” the former Laker said. “The coaching staff believes in me, the players believe in me and I’m just having fun, honestly. I’m having a lot of fun.”

Kuzma struggled last year. His performance changed after his rookie campaign. Kuzma’s numbers were low and he struggled with inconsistency. Of course, he had some bright moments, but it wasn’t enough.

“Fit and opportunity is everything in this league. … This is a sport where there are extreme highs and extreme lows. But if you’re in a position, like I am fortunate enough [to be in] and have people that believe in me, you can see what I can do.”

Well, the only thing we can do right now is wish him luck. Maybe Kuzma got the freedom he needed. He is averaging 14.5 points per game with the Wizards. The team would love to see more than that. From what it looks, Kuzma is motivated to win more games this time.
