LeBron James Voted Favorite Player In 2019-20 NBA Rookie Survey

Offseason surveys are quite a thing in the NBA, and this rookie survey confirmed what we all knew. LeBron James is the greatest basketball player in the NBA, and rookies like him.

The annual NBA Rookie Survey includes players who have just joined the league. Rookies get a lot of questions, but it’s not about the rookies this time. A bunch of fresh players were asked about their favorite player, and three players won this poll. Two of them are part of the Lakers family. Well, one of them is already in the history.

Kobe Bryant, LeBron James and Kevin Durant. These three were the only players to win the poll.

According to the 2019 NBA Rookie Survey, LeBron is the favorite player in the league among rookies, and this is his third season at the top. Great, right?

“In the 10-year history of this question, only three players have been the top vote-getter. James, named the top guy for the fourth time, separates himself from Durant (3) and Kobe Bryant (3). Interestingly, Bryant wasn’t one of the two retired guys — Garnett and Nash, this time — to get votes.”

1. LeBron James, L.A. Lakers — 38%

2. Kevin Durant, Brooklyn — 20%

3. Kawhi Leonard, LA Clippers — 8%
    Damian Lillard, Portland — 8%

5. Devin Booker, Phoenix — 5%
    James Harden, Houston — 5%

LeBron leads the group again. In gathering those 38% of the vote, he tied the Black Mamba for the largest percentage of votes received in the poll. This list is a whole if you add Durant, Kawhi Leonard, Damian Lillard and James Harden to it. Devin Booker came like a surprise, but he has a nice style and scoring skill, so we sort of understand this popularity.

It’s interesting to note that Steve Nash and Kevin Garnett received votes, because there are some people who won’t accept that they can be on this list.

In other words, LeBron is the king, and he won’t leave the throne for quite some time. The Lakers nation will love this, because they are still waiting for their title.
