Rex Ryan seems to enjoy taking shots at New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and this time he was motivated by all the retirement talk surrounding Tom Brady.

NFL fans can’t ignore the fact that Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers are really close to winning another Super Bowl. TB12 did a wonderful job for the team last season. Brady won a ring with his first season with the Buccaneers. It was impressive! He did the right thing and NFL fans supported him all the way to the top. Let’s not forget that he is the best quarterback of all time.

Brady has been around for over two decades. Age has nothing on him. He still plays elite football. That’s why the Buccaneers got him. He is their goldfish.

Here’s a fun fact. Brady is 44. Does he even consider retiring at some point? Some fans believe Brady will retire after this season. Ryan discussed the possibility to see Brady call it career. He talked about it right before Brady’s game against the Los Angeles Rams. Ryan is well aware of the fact that Tampa Bay appreciates Brady and everything he brings to the field. Of course, this was the perfect moment for Ryan to take a shot at Belichick.

“The reason the Bucs won the Super Bowl is because of Tom Brady, they know that,” Ryan said on ESPN. “Some people in New England thought it was because of somebody else, they now know they were wrong.”

Belichick has nothing but great words for the former Patriots head coach. He and Brady won six Super Bowls together. Belichick respects Brady. Remember when the Buccaneers came to New England? Brady went to the locker room and talked to Brady. No one knows what these two talked about. Brady beat his former team and Belichick wanted to congratulate the best player he has ever coached.

The Patriots didn’t have the chance to meet the Buccaneers again. The Week 4 game was probably the first and only game between the Patriots and Brady.
