Gigantic Draft Prospect Reportedly Called Fit For Patriots

The New England Patriots will have to address a few needs in the upcoming draft. Getting a top wide receiver is a must, but Bill Belichick will probably go for an experienced veteran. According to Phil A. Perry, one particular draft pick may be a good fit for the Patriots.

Perry has nothing but words of praise for Daniel Faalele. He talked about his skills and athleticism, and Belichick will definitely agree on this one.

“Six-foot-8, 387 pounds. Thirty-five inch arms, 11-inch hands,” Perry said on the Next Pats Podcast. “These guys don’t grow on trees. We’ve heard Bill Belichick say that many, many times before whether he’s talking about a 350-pound defensive tackle or a corner with incredibly long arms. There are certain players who have unique physical skill sets, Daniel Faalele is one of those.”

Talented draft prospect to be a good fit for the Patriots roster

Perry did admit that Faalele is not the most athletic tackle in his class. However, he has so many great skills and his size is more than great. Faalele will definitely cover a big hole on Belichick’s roster.

“He moves well as well,” Perry added. “Is he the most athletic tackle in the class? Of course not. But with some coaching, if they get their hands on this player and he brings things to the table that other players simply can’t, because he was born with it and they weren’t, that could be a guy who ends up in New England.”

Trent Brown may leave the Patriots in the offseason and this makes things a lot easier for Faalele. The team has to make a decision on Brown and they may not try really hard to get him. This is a green light for Faalele.

Belichick has a few problems on the table right now. His linebacker unit needs a boost and getting strong players should be a top priority for the team.

It’s a long offseason for the Patriots after all. Several veterans are expected to leave the team in free agency, but Belichick has a backup plan. He always does.
